Name of Artifact: PE Observation Project
Date: February 21, 2015
Class: EDUC 240
Description: For this assignment I was supposed to observe two elementary physical education teachers. I had to notice if their lessons went along with state standards, or if the gym they were teaching in was an adequate size for the number of children and the activity. Also I had to note the similarities and differences between the two teachers.
Rationale: For Standard #8, Instructional Strategies, I observed two different physical education teachers to see how similar and/or different their teaching styles or strategies would be. The teachers were likely to teach in a different manner and their strategies to help the students to completely understand what they were doing during class would have varied as well.
Name of Artifact: Service Learning Reflection-Exceptional Learners
Date: July 26, 2015
Class: EDUC 230
Description: For this assignment I was reflecting back on the experiences I had while I was observing a special education teacher. I plan to include different scenarios I witnessed while in the classroom with Mrs. Brown and her assistant and also what the environment of her classroom was like.
Rationale: For Standard #8, Instructional Strategies, I am building on the idea of how Mrs. Brown uses different strategies in order to help each of her students succeed. Her student's different abilities will help in using a variety of different learning techniques.
